Health Checkup Camp, Jalandhar

Darshan Academy, Jalandhar organized a health checkup camp for students. Height, weight, eyesight and teeth were checked by Dr. Prem Arora and Dr. Mamta Chopra. Students were examined and given prescriptions according to their health requirement. The health checkup camp proved to be quite beneficial.

Lohri Celebration, Jalandhar

Darshan Academy, Jalandhar held a special event to celebrate Lohri with great enthusiasm and joy. A bonfire was lit and students performed Giddha, the folk dance of Punjab and sung songs. The importance of celebrating Lohri and the story of “Dulha Bhatti” was shared by the students, along with an encouraging speech. An uplifting meditation camp was also organized on this occasion. The whole atmosphere was absorbed in the festive spirit of Lohri.

Spiritual Curriculum Workshop, Jalandhar

A spiritual workshop for teachers on meditation was organized at Darshan Academy, Jalandhar. The workshop began with meditation instructions, followed by ten minutes of meditation. The value and benefits of meditation were discussed along with the role of a spiritual Master. An emphasis on a vegetarian diet was fully explored and an activity related to the vegetarian diet was also shown. Teachers benefitted a lot from this workshop.

Inter School Colouring and Fancy Dress Competition, Jalandhar

Darshan Academy, Jalandhar organized an inter-school colouring and fancy dress competition for the tiny tots, inviting area schools. Kids dressed up as Miss World, a traffic light, vegetables, a princess, a tree and a teacher. Students were given worksheets for colouring. They seemed very happy while colouring in their fancy dress.

Roti Bank, Jalandhar

Roti Bank was organized by Darshan Academy, Jalandhar on 19.12.2019 to encourage selfless service. Students brought Roti from their homes and distributed it to the needy from the local slum areas. Everyone appreciated this selfless service of the students of Darshan Academy.

International Adolescent Summit 2019, Jalandhar

Darshan Academy, Jalandhar participated in the International Adolescent Summit 2019 at National Science Centre, New Delhi. The summit formulated a charter for life skills building, safety, and wellbeing to facilitate adolescent leadership skills. Topics included various Nukkad Natak, Yuva Parliament, SurTaal, Rhetorics, and On the Spot painting. Students of Darshan Academy, Jalandhar won meritorious prizes, certificates, and medals at the summit. Trophies were given to the students for Yuva Parliament.

Disneyland Party, Jalandhar

Darshan Academy, Jalandhar organized a Disneyland party in the kindergarten section. Head bands of characters were given to the tiny tots to wear. Teachers recited rhymes while wearing the face masks of the Disney character Mickey Mouse. Tiny tots wore Disney character dresses and brought their favourite food from home.

A blood donation camp was organized at Darshan Academy, Jalandhar on 07.12.2019. The school’s staff, parents, and outsiders above 18 participated in this noble cause. A team of doctors did complete checkups of the donors before each blood donation. The noble cause of this selfless service was appreciated by everyone.

Project Week, Jalandhar

A social science project week culminating with an exhibition was conducted in Darshan Academy, Jalandhar. The seven sisters; Assam, Manipur, Nagaland, Arunachal Pardesh, Mizoram, Tripura and Meghalya, were covered in this exhibition. Students prepared colorful charts and projects along with dances and recipes to show the diversity and culture of each state. Parents appreciated the talent of students and also encouraged their effort.
