Poetry Fest, Darshan Academy, Jalandhar

Darshan Academy, Jalandhar organised an online poetry fest in the memory of Sant Darshan Singh Ji Maharaj. Students from nursery to 12th grade were divided into nine categories. Participants recited the poems beautifully. Parents and teachers also participated in the poetry fest with great zeal and zest.

Diwali Celebrations

Darshan Academy, Jalandar celebrated Diwali on November 11, 2020. Students decorated candles and diyas, made wall hangings and rangoli designs and gave speeches on different aspects of Diwali. All the students enjoyed the celebration and participated with great zeal and zest.

Van Mahotsav, Jalandhar

Darshan Academy Jalandhar celebrated Van Mahotsav and organized various online activities to develop sensitivity in the students towards their environment. Children planted saplings in their homes, created posters and recited rhymes to encourage tree plantation. They also sent messages to the near and dear ones and motivated them to plant more and more trees. Children learned the importance of protecting trees to make their surroundings green and healthy.

Plastic Bag Free Day, Jalandhar

On July 3, 2020 Darshan Academy, Jalandhar celebrated Plastic Bag Free Day, a global initiative that aims to eliminate the use of single-use plastic bags. Students shared their ideas of not using plastic bags by replacing them with newspaper or fabric bags and recycling all plastic products. Also important is to take action to raise awareness on the environmental impact and hazards of single-use plastic bags, and promote more sustainable solutions.

Van Mahotsav, Jalandhar

Darshan Academy, Jalandhar celebrated Van Mahotsav by organizing various student online activities to develop sensitivity towards the environment. Children planted saplings at home, made posters and recited rhymes that encouraged tree plantation. They also sent messages to their near and dear ones to motivate them to plant more trees. Children also took a pledge to plant sapling every year on their birthdays and to protect trees to make the environment green and healthy.

“Thank You” Day Celebration, Jalandhar

Darshan Academy, Jalandhar celebrated “Thank You” Day on July 24, 2020. Gratitude is the simplest, most powerful way to acknowledge another person's value and humanity. Consistently saying thank you to everyone in your life is profoundly important, not just during the holidays, but every day. Students used their creativity and imagination to make beautiful and impressive thank you cards for parents, friends, teachers, relatives, and people who helped them in this pandemic.

Nukkad Natak, Jalandhar

Students of Darshan Academy Jalandhar presented a Nukkad Natak on “Save Water Save Life”. Through role plays, the Darshanites made people in the community aware about the need, value and importance of water. They played Nukkad Natak in rural areas. The plays attracted around 60-70 people. The students made a full effort to inspire and motivate people to save water and make them aware about the value and importance of water. They made banners of “Jal hai to Kal Hai,” and “Paani Bachao Jeevan Bachao”. The student’s efforts were appreciated.

Roti Bank, Darshan Academy, Jalandhar

To awaken and encourage selfless service, Roti Bank was organized by Darshan Academy, Jalandhar. Under this campaign students brought rotis from their homes and distributed it to people in need. The selfless service of the Darshanites was appreciated and encouraged by everybody.

Kirpal Week of Loving Kindness, Jalandhar

Kirpal Week of Loving Kindness was celebrated in Darshan Academy, Jalandhar beginning with a rally to spread the message of kindness and selfless service. Mr. Baldev ji inspired students with his spiritual talk on being humble, polite, united and kind. He also highlighted the teachings of Sant. Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj. Throughout the day students performed different activities that included poster making, shabad gaayan, and poem recitation. Students also visited an orphanage and distributed gifts to the needy and isolated people. A meditation camp was organized in which parents and students participated with great enthusiasm, zeal and zest.

Number Party, Jalandhar

Darshan Academy, Jalandhar hosted a number party to help the pre-primary students become familiar with numbers. Different activities involving counting in sequence, missing numbers, number matching and shapes related to numbers were conducted. Puzzles games were also incorporated in making student enjoy and learn the importance of numbers.
