Dussehra, also known as Vijaya Dashami, is a vibrant and significant Indian festival that marks the triumph of good over evil, symbolizing the victory of Lord Rama over the demon king Ravana. Dussehra isn’t just about watching the effigies of Ravana burn; it is the time for children to understand the importance of virtues like truth and courage. Dussehra was celebrated with great pomp and joy in Darshan Academy, Jalandhar. The program commenced with a speech highlighting the significance of Dussehra. Tiny tots made colourful puppets to highlight the characters of the festival. Role play and literary competitions were also an important part of the celebration.
