The annual Project Week relating to sustainable development was organised at Darshan Academy, Jalandhar, to inculcate students’ skills. Students prepared beautiful charts and models of different shapes and colours. They made models on renewable natural sources and non-renewable natural sources. The solar energy model showed the process of saving electricity. Students made models of wind turbines and crop rotation machines. They also made a model of rainwater harvesting to collect and store rainwater in natural reservoirs and a model of rooftop harvesting so that rainwater did not get wasted and drinking water was saved. Students brought awareness to reduce wastage, eat healthy food, and manage climate change through their charts and models. They gave a message that human beings utilise the resources nature has provided for survival and welfare. The chief guest, Mr. Arvind Prakash Verma, district revenue officer, appreciated and applauded the efforts and hard work of the students.
